Before the creation of time, Decimals, better known as ‘denary’ were in a state of confusion. The order of digits were scrambled leaving the race of ‘tens digits’ on the bottom of the hierarchal ladder.  This caused the tens digits to resent the other decimals places for their subjugation and enslavement. Although the tens digits were dissatisfied with their role in the social ladder they had accepted their fate as the ‘pariah’ of all denary.

Looking down upon the struggles of the tens digits, Hinitaar, the descendant of the 100’s digits looked upon the tens with compassion and led them to rebel. A war ensued leaving the denary to fight against one another for power and dominance on the social ladder. This event was called the ‘Rebellion of tens’ and its outcome is the result of our current laws of mathematics.This is meant to be a social parallel of how human beings divide, conquer and destroy in order to attain power, status and wealth.

‘Hinitaar bin Hinitaar’ is a creative, abstract animation that will be created to go along with the general theme of the exhibition. The animation features Decimal robots and their behaviour in their natural world.
